John Reese

John Reese was a former U.S. Army Special Forces Soldier and CIA National Clandestine Service (NCS) Special Activities Division (SAD) officer and was born in Puyallup, Washington, USA.

John joined the army where he served for the next nine years, he served four short tours and one long tour of duty, including service in Afghanistan and Iraq.
He quit the army as soon as the CIA took him in due to his remarkable skills as through the years he became ranked as a Paramilitary Operations Officer in the Special Activities Division (SAD) (LOL WHAT THE)

Before he left, John bumped into his former girlfriend, Jessica, at the airport he tells her that he has found a new, "secretive job". However, she replied that she was engaged to another man, but if John would tell her to wait for him, she would. After a long silence, she leaves John who whisperers "Wait for me, please."

Reese works along with a female partner known as Kara Stanton. Their first mission was stationed in Hungary where he learned from her the touches and art of stone cold killing. Due to her playing games with a new cover name, she assigns him with his Alias, "John Reese."

However, their career ended when they both went on a secret mission in Ordos to find a laptop with utter secret information on it. When they arrived at the place is was filled with the bodies of the engineers working at the facility where the laptop was secured. luckily, but both very confused, they found the laptop untouched and went back outside to wait for their extraction by nightfall.

When nightfall came, Stanton marked their position for the helicopter with flares.
However, John pointed his gun at her. Before the mission started he heard from his operative that she was compromised and thus, she had to be taken care of.
But after a short hesitation he lowered the gun, only to be shot down himself by Stanton.
She tells him the same words, his operative had told him about her and then he realized. This mission was a fluke to eradicate them both.
He clarifies Kara of the situation whom reacts with shock to Reese, who took the chance and barely escapes, while a missile hit the building right on the spot of where the flares were located.

The next few months, a wounded Reese, now sporting a beard, travels to New Rochelle, New York, to look for Jessica. He discovers that she has died in a car accident two months prior to his arrival. Distraught, he breaks into the former husband's residence and watches one of the videos of Jessica and her husband Peter's wedding, realizing she had most likely been abused and murdered by him, as car accidents make excellent cover-ups for murder. When Peter comes home, Reese confronts the man who he holds responsible for her death and attacks him.

Reese later begins to live anonymously in a homeless encampment.
